Back when I was only half-orphanned, I was watching a DVD of Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King with my mother, as she loved fantasy-themed stuff. It was the siege of Minas Tirith and the Orcish catapults are catapulting the crap out of the city in fine style:
"It must have been terrible living in those days..."
"What, when Orcs and Elves roamed the land?"
Apparently she meant back in the days of medieval sieges of walled cities, but I have my doubts.
